Fix a typo in a restaurant menu PDF
Dishes change with the season; the design doesn't. Update names, descriptions and prices directly in the menu PDF and send it to print or your website the same day. A single wrong letter is the most common reason to edit a PDF. Fixing it should change that letter and nothing else.
How to do it
- 1.Drop your PDF into MythosPDF and click the text you want to change.
- 2.Put the cursor on the wrong letter, delete it and type the right one.
- 3.Press Enter to save the line, then Export PDF.
What people change in a restaurant menu
- • Dish names and descriptions
- • Prices
- • Allergen notes
- • Specials and seasonal items
- • Opening hours and address
What happens to the rest of the page
- • Only the words you touch are rewritten. The rest of the line keeps its exact position and spacing.
- • If the correct letter was never used anywhere in the file, MythosPDF loads the complete font so the letter matches.
Decorative fonts
Menu fonts often embed only the letters used. If a new dish name needs a letter that isn't there, you'll be told rather than seeing a substitute font.
Web and print versions
Export once for print, then run Compress PDF for a version that loads fast on phones.
Questions people ask
+Will fixing one letter move the rest of the paragraph?
Only if the word gets wider or narrower. Then the words after it on that line shift by exactly the difference, and nothing else moves.
+Can I change food photos?
Yes. Remove the old image, add a new one and resize it into place.
