Edit a Chrome Save as PDF newsletter PDF
Newsletters are built in columns, and a late correction shouldn't break them. Fix the typo, update the date or swap the photo and the columns stay as designed. If it was made in Chrome Save as PDF, you can edit the PDF itself. MythosPDF regroups Chrome's split Type3 fonts into the real typeface and identifies it by its letter widths, so new text matches, imitated bold included.
How to do it
- 1.Open the newsletter PDF exported from Chrome Save as PDF in MythosPDF.
- 2.Click the text you want to change and type.
- 3.Press Enter to save, then Export PDF.
What people change in a newsletter
- • Issue date and number
- • Article text corrections
- • Photo swaps
- • Event listings
- • Links to sign up pages
How Chrome Save as PDF writes PDFs
- • Chrome writes web fonts as Type3 fonts, often splitting one font into many small ones.
- • Letters are frequently placed one at a time.
- • Bold is sometimes imitated by outlining regular letters.
Multi column text
Each column is edited on its own; a longer correction rewraps within its column.
Check before you send
Compare the corrected newsletter with the previous export to be sure only the intended text changed.
Questions people ask
