Make text bold in a Google Slides PDF

Turn words bold, or bold text back to regular, in the PDF's own font family. This works on the PDF Google Slides exported, so you do not need the original file.

How Google Slides writes PDFs

  • • Each slide becomes a page.
  • • Google Fonts are embedded as subsets.
  • • Text boxes are placed independently.

What that means when you make text bold

  • • Slide text uses open Google Fonts, so any new letter matches exactly.

What happens to the rest of the page

  • • The real bold style of the same family is used when it exists.
  • • If the family has no bold, MythosPDF asks before imitating one.

Questions people ask

+Is the bold the real font?

Yes, when the family has a bold style. Otherwise you choose whether to imitate it.

+Is it better to edit in Google Slides?

If you have the original Google Slides file and a lot to change, yes. For quick changes to the PDF itself, editing the PDF is faster and keeps it exactly as sent.
