MythosPDF

Add page numbers in a WordPad printout

Number every page of a PDF in the position and style you choose. This works on the PDF WordPad printed, even when its letters are only drawn shapes.

Open the tool

How to do it

  1. 1.Drop your Microsoft Print to PDF file into MythosPDF. Drawn letters are turned back into text in a few seconds.
  2. 2.Pick where the numbers go.
  3. 3.Download the numbered PDF.

How WordPad prints

  • • WordPad uses Calibri 11 by default.
  • • Microsoft removed WordPad from new Windows 11 installs in 2024, so a printed PDF is often the only copy left.
  • • Formatting is simple: fonts, bold, italic, bullets and alignment.

What that means when you add page numbers

  • • Page tools work on the printout as it is; no text recovery is needed.

What happens to the rest of the page

  • • Numbers are added on top of each page; the original content is not rewritten.
  • • Every page is numbered in one step.

Questions people ask

+Does numbering change my pages?

No. The numbers are an added layer; the page content underneath is untouched.

+Why can't I select text in my Microsoft Print to PDF file?

The driver often draws every letter as a shape instead of writing text. MythosPDF reads those shapes and turns them back into real text before you edit.

+Is it better to reprint from WordPad?

If you still have the WordPad file and a lot to change, yes. For a quick fix to the PDF you already have, editing it is faster.
