Change the company name in printed Cascadia Mono text

Rebrand a proposal, quote or letter for a new client or after a name change. In a Microsoft Print to PDF file, Cascadia Mono letters are often drawn shapes. MythosPDF turns them back into Cascadia Mono text before you edit.

How to do it

  1. 1.Drop your Microsoft Print to PDF file into MythosPDF. Drawn letters are turned back into text in a few seconds.
  2. 2.Replace the company name in each place it appears.
  3. 3.Swap the logo too if needed, then Export PDF.

New letters in Cascadia Mono

  • • Letters that are already on the page are reused exactly as printed.
  • • Cascadia Mono is itself an open font. For a letter the printout never used, MythosPDF uses it when the face is recognised, and otherwise asks before using the closest open font.

What that means when you change the company name

  • • Letters you type that already appear in the printout, in the same font, are copied from its own letter shapes, so they print identically.
  • • A letter the printout never used comes from the identified typeface. For fonts that are not openly available, MythosPDF asks before using the closest open font.
  • • After export, the recovered text can be selected, copied and searched, which the printout could not do.

Questions people ask

+How do I catch every mention?

After editing, use Compare to see all changes, and search the PDF for the old name.

+Will the page look different after recovery?

No. The rebuilt text uses the document's own letter outlines, and every page is compared with the original before you edit.
