Change line spacing in a project report printed to PDF
Reports are exported, reviewed, and corrected. Fix a figure, update a status or reword a finding in the PDF without regenerating it. If it was printed with Microsoft Print to PDF, the text may be drawn shapes. MythosPDF recovers it first, then you change line spacing as usual.

- 2.Open the Aa menu and use the Line spacing buttons.
- 3.Press Enter to save the line, then Export PDF.
What people change in a project report
- • Figures in tables
- • Status and dates
- • Wording of findings
- • Names in the distribution list
- • Page numbers and cover details
What that means when you change line spacing
- • Formatting applies to the recovered text exactly as it would in a PDF that was saved with fonts.
- • After export, the recovered text can be selected, copied and searched, which the printout could not do.
How Microsoft Print to PDF writes the PDF
- • Depending on the app and the fonts, Microsoft Print to PDF either embeds the fonts or draws every letter as a filled shape.
- • When letters are drawn as shapes, the PDF has no text at all: you cannot select, copy or search anything on the page.
- • Letters are placed one at a time in printer units, inside a flipped page transform.
- • Thin letters such as l, i and I, and the dots of punctuation, are often collected from many lines into one shape drawn later.
Questions people ask
+Can this make text fit on one page?
Often, yes. Slightly tighter spacing can save a line or two.
+Why can't I select text in my Microsoft Print to PDF file?
The driver often draws every letter as a shape instead of writing text. MythosPDF reads those shapes and turns them back into real text before you edit.
