How to do it

  1. 1.Drop your Microsoft Print to PDF file into MythosPDF. Drawn letters are turned back into text in a few seconds.
  2. 2.Edit the recipient's name and address lines.
  3. 3.Update the greeting, then Export PDF.

How RTF viewers prints

  • • Rich text files print with the fonts named inside them.
  • • Formatting is simple: fonts, bold, italic and alignment.
  • • Tables in rich text print as lines around text.

What that means when you change the recipient

  • • Letters you type that already appear in the printout, in the same font, are copied from its own letter shapes, so they print identically.
  • • A letter the printout never used comes from the identified typeface. For fonts that are not openly available, MythosPDF asks before using the closest open font.
  • • After export, the recovered text can be selected, copied and searched, which the printout could not do.

What happens to the rest of the page

  • • Address blocks keep their line spacing.
  • • The greeting line is separate; remember to change it too.

Questions people ask

+Can I reuse one letter for many people?

Yes. Edit and export once per recipient.

+Why can't I select text in my Microsoft Print to PDF file?

The driver often draws every letter as a shape instead of writing text. MythosPDF reads those shapes and turns them back into real text before you edit.

+Is it better to reprint from RTF viewers?

If you still have the RTF viewers file and a lot to change, yes. For a quick fix to the PDF you already have, editing it is faster.
