Delete a table row in a Google Chrome printout

Remove a row from a table and close the gap so the table stays tidy. This works on the PDF Google Chrome printed, even when its letters are only drawn shapes.

How to do it

  1. 1.Drop your Microsoft Print to PDF file into MythosPDF. Drawn letters are turned back into text in a few seconds.
  2. 2.Click a cell in the row, open the delete menu and choose Delete this row.
  3. 3.Export PDF.

How Google Chrome prints

  • • Chrome's print dialog can send any page to Microsoft Print to PDF instead of its own Save as PDF.
  • • Headers and footers with the date, title and web address are optional.
  • • Web fonts the site loads are printed along with Windows fonts.

What that means when you delete a table row

  • • Printed tables are lines drawn around text. After recovery, rows and cells are found from those lines and the recovered words.
  • • After export, the recovered text can be selected, copied and searched, which the printout could not do.

What happens to the rest of the page

  • • The rows below move up and the borders join again.
  • • Deleted values are removed from the file, not hidden.

Questions people ask

+Can I undo it?

Yes. Every edit can be undone.

+Why can't I select text in my Microsoft Print to PDF file?

The driver often draws every letter as a shape instead of writing text. MythosPDF reads those shapes and turns them back into real text before you edit.

+Is it better to reprint from Google Chrome?

If you still have the Google Chrome file and a lot to change, yes. For a quick fix to the PDF you already have, editing it is faster.
