Rotate a page in a Microsoft Word printout
Turn sideways or upside down pages the right way up. This works on the PDF Microsoft Word printed, even when its letters are only drawn shapes.
How to do it
- 1.Drop your Microsoft Print to PDF file into MythosPDF. Drawn letters are turned back into text in a few seconds.
- 2.Rotate the pages that need it.
- 3.Download the PDF.
How Microsoft Word prints
- • Printing from Word sends the laid out page to the driver, so the PDF looks exactly like the print preview.
- • Microsoft 365 uses Aptos by default; documents from before 2023 usually use Calibri or Times New Roman.
- • Tables print as lines drawn around positioned text.
What that means when you rotate a page
- • Page tools work on the printout as it is; no text recovery is needed.
What happens to the rest of the page
- • Rotation is lossless: the page content is not redrawn.
- • Rotate one page or all of them.
Questions people ask
+Does rotating reduce quality?
No. Only the page's orientation changes.
+Why can't I select text in my Microsoft Print to PDF file?
The driver often draws every letter as a shape instead of writing text. MythosPDF reads those shapes and turns them back into real text before you edit.
+Is it better to reprint from Microsoft Word?
If you still have the Microsoft Word file and a lot to change, yes. For a quick fix to the PDF you already have, editing it is faster.
