Change a website address in a scanned brochure from a phone

Replace an old web address printed on a scanned page. Camera foreshortening is fitted as a horizontal scale on each line, and the paper grain around the word is kept, so the new word sits in the photo like the old one.

Scanning with a phone

  • • Phone scanners photograph the page, straighten and crop it, and save the image into a PDF.
  • • Photos carry perspective, uneven light and JPEG compression, and some apps add a hidden OCR text layer.

What people change in a brochure

  • • Headlines and offers
  • • Dates and event details
  • • Phone numbers, emails and web addresses
  • • Product photos
  • • Legal small print

Questions people ask

+Will it be clickable?

No. It stays printed text on the page image.

+What if a word cannot be changed invisibly?

You get the exact reason, such as a stamp in the way or a font that could not be identified, instead of a smudged page.
