Fix a typo in a scanned case study

Case studies are reused across sales conversations. Update results and quotes as numbers improve, or swap in a new customer logo. A misspelled word on a scan used to mean retyping the whole page. Now you click the word and type the fix.

How to do it

  1. 1.Drop your scanned PDF into MythosPDF. The words on each page become clickable boxes.
  2. 2.Click the first word, Shift+click to extend along the line, then double click or press Enter and type the new text.
  3. 3.Press Enter to apply the change, then Export PDF.

What people change in a case study

  • • Results and figures
  • • Customer quotes
  • • Customer logo
  • • Contact and links

Good to know

  • • Changes replace words within one line. A longer replacement moves the rest of that line along; adding new lines or deleting words is not available on scans.
  • • Handwriting, and print in a font that cannot be identified, cannot be redrawn, so the edit is refused.
  • • If the new text would touch a stamp, signature or line, MythosPDF refuses instead of smudging it.
  • • Text is read in English, so other scripts are not editable on scans yet.

Questions people ask

+Will the fix match the printed letters?

Yes. The word is redrawn in the font identified from the same line, at the same size and ink tone.

+What if a word cannot be changed invisibly?

You get the exact reason, such as a stamp in the way or a font that could not be identified, instead of a smudged page.
