How Microsoft PowerPoint writes PDFs

  • • Each slide becomes one page.
  • • Text boxes are placed independently.
  • • Theme fonts are embedded as subsets.

What that means when you change an address

  • • Each text box on a slide is edited on its own and keeps its alignment. Charts keep their shapes; only their text labels change.

What happens to the rest of the page

  • • Shift+Enter keeps the lines in one address block, with the block's own line spacing.
  • • Adding a line pushes the content below down by one line.

Questions people ask

+Can I add a line to the address?

Yes. Press Shift+Enter where the new line should start.

+Is it better to edit in Microsoft PowerPoint?

If you have the original Microsoft PowerPoint file and a lot to change, yes. For quick changes to the PDF itself, editing the PDF is faster and keeps it exactly as sent.
