Change a name in a product datasheet PDF
Datasheets are spec tables with strict formatting. Update a value, a part number or a revision date without breaking the table. Update a person's or organisation's name wherever it appears, in the same typeface as before.

What people change in a product datasheet
- • Specification values
- • Part and model numbers
- • Revision number and date
- • Certifications list
What happens to the rest of the page
- • A longer name pushes the words after it along the line; right aligned names grow to the left.
- • Names often contain letters the PDF has not used yet, like Z, Q or accented letters. The complete font is loaded for them.
Units and decimals
Keep units and decimal places consistent; right aligned values stay on their column edge.
Revision control
Compare with the previous revision to publish an accurate change list.
