Change the total in a Stripe PDF

How to do it

  1. 1.Open the PDF exported from Stripe in MythosPDF.
  2. 2.Type the new amounts in the totals block.
  3. 3.Press Enter to save the line, then Export PDF.

How Stripe writes PDFs

  • • Invoice and quote PDFs are generated from templates.
  • • Amounts sit in right aligned columns.

What that means when you change the total

  • • Edit only your own drafts and quotes; amounts keep their alignment.
  • • Amounts in Stripe PDFs are right aligned, so a longer value grows to the left and the column stays straight.

What happens to the rest of the page

  • • Totals are right aligned, so longer amounts grow to the left.
  • • Double check the arithmetic; the PDF will not do it.

Questions people ask

+Does it check the maths?

No. A PDF is a printed page. Check the numbers before sending.

+Is it better to edit in Stripe?

If you have the original Stripe file and a lot to change, yes. For quick changes to the PDF itself, editing the PDF is faster and keeps it exactly as sent.
