Edit a Microsoft Word letterhead PDF
When your company moves or rebrands, update the letterhead template once and every letter made from it is right. If it was made in Microsoft Word, you can edit the PDF itself. Word PDFs edit cleanly: runs, bold and italic are recognised, and justified paragraphs rewrap with even spacing. Calibri, Cambria and Aptos are not open fonts; Calibri and Cambria have open clones with identical widths, and Aptos gets the closest open font only with your permission.
How to do it
- 1.Open the letterhead PDF exported from Microsoft Word in MythosPDF.
- 2.Click the text you want to change and type.
- 3.Press Enter to save, then Export PDF.

How Microsoft Word writes PDFs
- • Save as PDF embeds only the letters used, as subset TrueType fonts.
- • Each run of formatting is written as its own piece of text, and justified paragraphs stretch word gaps.
- • Tables are drawn as lines around positioned text.
Logo swap
Remove the old logo and add the new PNG; transparency is kept.
Footer details
Registration numbers and directors in the footer are edited like any other line.
