Edit a Microsoft Word project report PDF
Reports are exported, reviewed, and corrected. Fix a figure, update a status or reword a finding in the PDF without regenerating it. If it was made in Microsoft Word, you can edit the PDF itself. Word PDFs edit cleanly: runs, bold and italic are recognised, and justified paragraphs rewrap with even spacing. Calibri, Cambria and Aptos are not open fonts; Calibri and Cambria have open clones with identical widths, and Aptos gets the closest open font only with your permission.
How to do it
- 1.Open the project report PDF exported from Microsoft Word in MythosPDF.
- 2.Click the text you want to change and type.
- 3.Press Enter to save, then Export PDF.
What people change in a project report
- • Figures in tables
- • Status and dates
- • Wording of findings
- • Names in the distribution list
- • Page numbers and cover details
How Microsoft Word writes PDFs
- • Save as PDF embeds only the letters used, as subset TrueType fonts.
- • Each run of formatting is written as its own piece of text, and justified paragraphs stretch word gaps.
- • Tables are drawn as lines around positioned text.
Tables and numbers
Change values cell by cell; right aligned numbers stay aligned. Totals are not recalculated, so update them too.
Charts are drawings
Charts are vector drawings or images, not live data. To change a chart, replace its image.
