Edit a Tally quotation PDF

Quotes change during a conversation. Update your own quotation PDF in place so it keeps your branding and layout, instead of retyping it. If it was made in Tally, you can edit the PDF itself. Amounts keep their alignment. If the font lacks ₹, you choose whether to use a font that has it.

What people change in a quotation

  • • Quote number and date
  • • Line item descriptions
  • • Quantities and unit prices
  • • Subtotal, tax and total
  • • Validity period and terms

How Tally writes PDFs

  • • Vouchers and invoices are printed to PDF with standard fonts.
  • • Amounts are in right aligned columns, often with the rupee symbol.

Add and remove line items

Insert a row above or below any item, or delete an item's row. Borders and spacing follow the rest of the table.

Numbers are not recalculated

A PDF is a printed page, not a spreadsheet. Update the totals yourself after changing quantities or prices.

Questions people ask

+Can I turn a quotation into an invoice?
