How to edit a PDF on Windows without Acrobat
On Windows, people usually try Microsoft Edge (which only adds ink and text boxes) or opening the PDF in Word (which converts it and often shifts the layout). To keep the PDF as it is and change only the words, edit it in the browser with MythosPDF.
