Edit a German brochure PDF

PDF bearbeiten · Deutsch

Brochures are tightly designed, and one shifted line shows. Editing in place changes the words you click and leaves every panel, image and colour as it was.

What people change in a brochure

Typing German

The editor has a built in German keyboard: press the अ/A button while editing and type German letters by clicking, next to your normal keyboard. Characters to check after editing: ä, ö, ü, ß, „ “.

Which font new German text uses

First the font your PDF already uses for German, even when only a few of its letters are embedded: MythosPDF loads the complete font and sets new letters in it. If the PDF has no Latin font at all, it asks before adding an open Noto font for those letters, and tells you it did.

Sans serif fonts for a German brochure

2087 open font families in the editor's catalogue cover German. These are sans serif fonts with the most weights and languages.

Questions people ask

+Does it work for tri fold brochures?

Yes. Each panel's text is edited where it sits.

+Will colours change?

No. Your text keeps its colour, and nothing else is recoloured.

+Can I write parts of the brochure in German and parts in English?

Yes. Each language is set in the font the PDF uses for it, so a bilingual brochure keeps both fonts.
