What people change in an ebook

Typing German

The editor has a built in German keyboard: press the अ/A button while editing and type German letters by clicking, next to your normal keyboard. Characters to check after editing: ä, ö, ü, ß, „ “.

Which font new German text uses

First the font your PDF already uses for German, even when only a few of its letters are embedded: MythosPDF loads the complete font and sets new letters in it. If the PDF has no Latin font at all, it asks before adding an open Noto font for those letters, and tells you it did.

Serif fonts for a German ebook

2087 open font families in the editor's catalogue cover German. These are serif fonts with the most weights and languages.

Questions people ask

+Can I add a chapter?

Merge a new chapter PDF in and move it into place.

+Can I protect it?

Protect PDF adds a password; for paid ebooks, consider a watermark with the buyer's name too.

+Can I write parts of the ebook in German and parts in English?

Yes. Each language is set in the font the PDF uses for it, so a bilingual ebook keeps both fonts.
