Edit a Japanese brochure PDF
PDFを編集 · 日本語
Brochures are tightly designed, and one shifted line shows. Editing in place changes the words you click and leaves every panel, image and colour as it was.
What people change in a brochure
- ✓Headlines and offers
- ✓Dates and event details
- ✓Phone numbers, emails and web addresses
- ✓Product photos
- ✓Legal small print
Typing Japanese
Type with your own keyboard or input method. The editor accepts any Unicode text. Characters to check after editing: 漢字、ひらがな、カタカナ.
Which font new Japanese text uses
First the font your PDF already uses for Japanese, even when only a few of its letters are embedded: MythosPDF loads the complete font and sets new letters in it. If the PDF has no Kanji, Hiragana and Katakana font at all, it asks before adding an open Noto font for those letters, and tells you it did.

Questions people ask
+Does it work for tri fold brochures?
Yes. Each panel's text is edited where it sits.
+Will colours change?
No. Your text keeps its colour, and nothing else is recoloured.
+Can I write parts of the brochure in Japanese and parts in English?
Yes. Each language is set in the font the PDF uses for it, so a bilingual brochure keeps both fonts.
