How Foxit PDF Reader prints

  • • Printing through Microsoft Print to PDF rebuilds the pages as a new file.
  • • Comments print only when you choose to include them.
  • • Filled form fields become part of the page.

What that means when you change a phone number

  • • Letters you type that already appear in the printout, in the same font, are copied from its own letter shapes, so they print identically.
  • • Digits are recovered like letters, so a changed number keeps the printed digit shapes and spacing.
  • • After export, the recovered text can be selected, copied and searched, which the printout could not do.

What happens to the rest of the page

  • • Numbers next to icons stay beside their icon; the row moves as a unit if the number gets longer.
  • • Plus signs and brackets are set in the same font as the digits.

Questions people ask

+Will the phone icon move?

Only if the text in front of it gets wider. Icons in a contact row move along with their text.

+Why can't I select text in my Microsoft Print to PDF file?

The driver often draws every letter as a shape instead of writing text. MythosPDF reads those shapes and turns them back into real text before you edit.

+Is it better to reprint from Foxit PDF Reader?

If you still have the Foxit PDF Reader file and a lot to change, yes. For a quick fix to the PDF you already have, editing it is faster.
