Add a bullet point in a Overleaf PDF
Add another item to a bulleted list, with the same marker and spacing as the others. This works on the PDF Overleaf exported, so you do not need the original file.

How Overleaf writes PDFs
- • Overleaf compiles LaTeX, so PDFs use Type1 fonts such as Computer Modern or Latin Modern.
- • Ligatures such as fi and fl are single glyphs.
What that means when you add a bullet point
- • Small fixes in text, references and captions can be made in the PDF. Larger changes are cleaner in the Overleaf source.
- • Overleaf often uses fonts that are not freely available. Letters already in the PDF are reused exactly; for a letter it never used, MythosPDF asks before using the closest open font and tells you which one.
What happens to the rest of the page
- • The new bullet copies the list's marker, indent and line spacing.
- • Items below move down to make room.
Questions people ask
+Where does the new bullet go?
Directly below the bullet you clicked, and the items below move down.
+Is it better to edit in Overleaf?
If you have the original Overleaf file and a lot to change, yes. For quick changes to the PDF itself, editing the PDF is faster and keeps it exactly as sent.
