How to do it
- 1.Open the PDF exported from Google Docs in MythosPDF.
- 2.Put the cursor where the new line starts and press Shift+Enter.
- 3.Type the line and press Enter, then Export PDF.
How Google Docs writes PDFs
- • Download as PDF uses Google Fonts, embedded as subsets.
- • Lines often end with an invisible zero width space.
- • Text is positioned word by word.
What that means when you add a line of text
- • Google Docs fonts are open, so any new letter can be set in the exact same font. Invisible line end characters are handled, so edits do not leave stray spaces.
- • Because Google Docs uses open fonts, any letter you type is set in the exact same font, even if the PDF never contained it.
What happens to the rest of the page
- • New lines belong to existing text blocks and follow their style and spacing.
- • Text boxes on empty parts of the page are not supported.
