Add a line of text in a lease agreement PDF
Lease templates arrive full of blanks. Fill in the tenant and landlord names, the property, rent, deposit and dates, adjust agreed clauses, and add your signature, all before anyone prints anything. Add a line inside an existing paragraph, address or cell, in the same style as the text around it.
How to do it
- 1.Drop your PDF into MythosPDF and click the text you want to change.
- 2.Put the cursor where the new line starts and press Shift+Enter.
- 3.Type the line and press Enter, then Export PDF.
What people change in a lease agreement
- • Landlord and tenant names
- • Property address
- • Monthly rent and deposit
- • Start date, end date and notice period
- • Agreed changes to clauses
- • Signatures and initials
What happens to the rest of the page
- • New lines belong to existing text blocks and follow their style and spacing.
- • Text boxes on empty parts of the page are not supported.
Only edit drafts
Changes belong in the draft stage, agreed by both sides. Once the other party has signed, send a new version rather than altering the signed one.
Show what you changed
Compare your filled in lease with the blank template to give the other party a clear list of what was added or reworded.
Questions people ask
+Can I type anywhere on the page?
Not in empty space. New text is added to an existing text block so it matches the document.
+Can both parties sign the same PDF?
Yes. Each person opens the file and places their own signature in turn.
