Delete text in a lease agreement PDF
Lease templates arrive full of blanks. Fill in the tenant and landlord names, the property, rent, deposit and dates, adjust agreed clauses, and add your signature, all before anyone prints anything. Remove words, lines or a whole paragraph and close the gap they leave behind.
How to do it
- 1.Drop your PDF into MythosPDF and click the text you want to change.
- 2.Select the words to remove and press Delete.
- 3.Press Enter to save the line, then Export PDF.
What people change in a lease agreement
- • Landlord and tenant names
- • Property address
- • Monthly rent and deposit
- • Start date, end date and notice period
- • Agreed changes to clauses
- • Signatures and initials
What happens to the rest of the page
- • The text is truly removed from the file, not covered with a white box.
- • Deleting a paragraph pulls the content below it up by the space it used.
Only edit drafts
Changes belong in the draft stage, agreed by both sides. Once the other party has signed, send a new version rather than altering the signed one.
Show what you changed
Compare your filled in lease with the blank template to give the other party a clear list of what was added or reworded.
Questions people ask
+Is deleted text really gone?
Yes. The characters are removed from the page, so they cannot be copied or searched afterwards.
+Can both parties sign the same PDF?
Yes. Each person opens the file and places their own signature in turn.
