Fix a typo in a lease agreement PDF
Lease templates arrive full of blanks. Fill in the tenant and landlord names, the property, rent, deposit and dates, adjust agreed clauses, and add your signature, all before anyone prints anything. A single wrong letter is the most common reason to edit a PDF. Fixing it should change that letter and nothing else.
How to do it
- 1.Drop your PDF into MythosPDF and click the text you want to change.
- 2.Put the cursor on the wrong letter, delete it and type the right one.
- 3.Press Enter to save the line, then Export PDF.
What people change in a lease agreement
- • Landlord and tenant names
- • Property address
- • Monthly rent and deposit
- • Start date, end date and notice period
- • Agreed changes to clauses
- • Signatures and initials
What happens to the rest of the page
- • Only the words you touch are rewritten. The rest of the line keeps its exact position and spacing.
- • If the correct letter was never used anywhere in the file, MythosPDF loads the complete font so the letter matches.
Only edit drafts
Changes belong in the draft stage, agreed by both sides. Once the other party has signed, send a new version rather than altering the signed one.
Show what you changed
Compare your filled in lease with the blank template to give the other party a clear list of what was added or reworded.
Questions people ask
+Will fixing one letter move the rest of the paragraph?
Only if the word gets wider or narrower. Then the words after it on that line shift by exactly the difference, and nothing else moves.
+Can both parties sign the same PDF?
Yes. Each person opens the file and places their own signature in turn.
