Edit an Adobe InDesign invitation PDF
Invitation templates look beautiful and are hard to change. Update the names, date, venue and RSVP details directly in the PDF and keep every flourish of the design. If it was made in Adobe InDesign, you can edit the PDF itself. Kerning and tracking are kept around your edit. Many InDesign fonts are commercial, so new letters come from the PDF or, with your permission, a close open font.
How to do it
- 1.Open the invitation PDF exported from Adobe InDesign in MythosPDF.
- 2.Click the text you want to change and type.
- 3.Press Enter to save, then Export PDF.
What people change in an invitation
- • Names of hosts or guests of honour
- • Date and time
- • Venue and address
- • RSVP date and contact
- • Dress code line
How Adobe InDesign writes PDFs
- • Fonts are embedded as subsets, often OpenType CFF.
- • Text frames can be threaded across columns.
- • Precise kerning and tracking are written into lines.
Script fonts
Decorative fonts usually embed only the letters in the template. Names with new letters may not be possible in that font, and you'll be told before anything is substituted.
Share it digitally
Convert the invitation to a JPG with PDF to JPG to send it in messaging apps.
