Edit a Microsoft Word form PDF
Many forms are just drawn boxes, not fillable fields. Type into their empty cells in the form's own font, sign, and send it back without printing. If it was made in Microsoft Word, you can edit the PDF itself. Word PDFs edit cleanly: runs, bold and italic are recognised, and justified paragraphs rewrap with even spacing. Calibri, Cambria and Aptos are not open fonts; Calibri and Cambria have open clones with identical widths, and Aptos gets the closest open font only with your permission.
How to do it
- 1.Open the form PDF exported from Microsoft Word in MythosPDF.
- 2.Click the text you want to change and type.
- 3.Press Enter to save, then Export PDF.
What people change in a form
- • Empty boxes and table cells
- • Placeholder text
- • Dates
- • Signature
How Microsoft Word writes PDFs
- • Save as PDF embeds only the letters used, as subset TrueType fonts.
- • Each run of formatting is written as its own piece of text, and justified paragraphs stretch word gaps.
- • Tables are drawn as lines around positioned text.
Drawn boxes, not fields
MythosPDF finds empty cells in table like layouts and lets you type into them.
Then sign
Press Sign to add your signature where the form asks for it.
Questions people ask
+What about fillable forms?
Fillable fields work best in a standard PDF reader; this editor fills drawn boxes and changes existing text.
+Can I fill a scanned form?
Not yet. On a scan you can replace printed words, but typing into empty boxes is not available.
