How to do it

  1. 1.Drop your Microsoft Print to PDF file into MythosPDF. Drawn letters are turned back into text in a few seconds.
  2. 2.Select the image and drag it or its corners.
  3. 3.Export PDF.

How Visual Studio Code prints

  • • The Windows default editor font is Consolas, falling back to Courier New.
  • • Code prints in one monospaced font where every letter has the same width.
  • • Line numbers print only when the print extension adds them.

What that means when you move an image

  • • Pictures in a printout stay images and can be changed. A logo the app drew as shapes is drawing, not a picture, and stays as printed.
  • • After export, the recovered text can be selected, copied and searched, which the printout could not do.

What happens to the rest of the page

  • • Moving an image does not change the text around it.
  • • Undo puts it back.

Questions people ask

+Does text wrap around moved images?

No. PDFs have no text wrap; place the image where it fits.

+Why can't I select text in my Microsoft Print to PDF file?

The driver often draws every letter as a shape instead of writing text. MythosPDF reads those shapes and turns them back into real text before you edit.

+Is it better to reprint from Visual Studio Code?

If you still have the Visual Studio Code file and a lot to change, yes. For a quick fix to the PDF you already have, editing it is faster.
