Add a line of text in a Notion PDF
Add a line inside an existing paragraph, address or cell, in the same style as the text around it. This works on the PDF Notion exported, so you do not need the original file.

How Notion writes PDFs
- • Notion exports through a browser engine.
- • Its default fonts are open designs.
What that means when you add a line of text
- • Browser engine fonts are regrouped and identified, so new text matches.
What happens to the rest of the page
- • New lines belong to existing text blocks and follow their style and spacing.
- • Text boxes on empty parts of the page are not supported.
Questions people ask
+Can I type anywhere on the page?
Not in empty space. New text is added to an existing text block so it matches the document.
+Is it better to edit in Notion?
If you have the original Notion file and a lot to change, yes. For quick changes to the PDF itself, editing the PDF is faster and keeps it exactly as sent.
