Edit a LibreOffice purchase order PDF
A purchase order is a header of addresses and terms over a table of items. Change the items, quantities and delivery details before you issue it, and keep the layout your supplier expects. If it was made in LibreOffice, you can edit the PDF itself. LibreOffice's default fonts are open, and Liberation fonts have the same widths as Arial, Times New Roman and Courier New, so edits match exactly.
How to do it
- 1.Open the purchase order PDF exported from LibreOffice in MythosPDF.
- 2.Click the text you want to change and type.
- 3.Press Enter to save, then Export PDF.
What people change in a purchase order
- • PO number and date
- • Supplier and ship to addresses
- • Item lines, quantities and prices
- • Requested delivery date
- • Payment and delivery terms
How LibreOffice writes PDFs
- • Export embeds subset fonts, often Liberation or DejaVu.
- • Paragraphs are written line by line.
Issue revisions, don't overwrite
If a PO was already sent, issue a revised one with a new number or revision mark so both sides know which is current.
Long descriptions wrap
Item descriptions wrap inside their cell and the row grows, pushing the rows below down evenly.
