How QuickBooks writes PDFs
- • Invoices and estimates are generated from templates.
- • Amounts are right aligned in columns.
What that means when you change a currency symbol
- • Line items and amounts edit in place with column alignment kept. Totals are not recalculated.
What happens to the rest of the page
- • If the PDF never used the new symbol, MythosPDF loads the complete font so it matches.
- • If the font has no such symbol at all, it asks before using the closest font that has it.
Questions people ask
+Why might the ₹ symbol need another font?
Older fonts were made before the symbol existed. MythosPDF tells you before using a font that has it.
+Is it better to edit in QuickBooks?
If you have the original QuickBooks file and a lot to change, yes. For quick changes to the PDF itself, editing the PDF is faster and keeps it exactly as sent.
