Change a name in a newsletter PDF
Newsletters are built in columns, and a late correction shouldn't break them. Fix the typo, update the date or swap the photo and the columns stay as designed. Update a person's or organisation's name wherever it appears, in the same typeface as before.

- 3.Repeat for each place the name appears, then Export PDF.
What people change in a newsletter
- • Issue date and number
- • Article text corrections
- • Photo swaps
- • Event listings
- • Links to sign up pages
What happens to the rest of the page
- • A longer name pushes the words after it along the line; right aligned names grow to the left.
- • Names often contain letters the PDF has not used yet, like Z, Q or accented letters. The complete font is loaded for them.
Multi column text
Each column is edited on its own; a longer correction rewraps within its column.
Check before you send
Compare the corrected newsletter with the previous export to be sure only the intended text changed.
Questions people ask
+Should I change names on official documents?
Only on documents you are entitled to change, such as your own drafts, templates and letters.
+Can I add an article?
Short additions fit with Shift+Enter; a full new article is better added in the design file.
