Fix a typo in a newsletter PDF

Newsletters are built in columns, and a late correction shouldn't break them. Fix the typo, update the date or swap the photo and the columns stay as designed. A single wrong letter is the most common reason to edit a PDF. Fixing it should change that letter and nothing else.

How to do it

  1. 1.Drop your PDF into MythosPDF and click the text you want to change.
  2. 2.Put the cursor on the wrong letter, delete it and type the right one.
  3. 3.Press Enter to save the line, then Export PDF.

What people change in a newsletter

  • • Issue date and number
  • • Article text corrections
  • • Photo swaps
  • • Event listings
  • • Links to sign up pages

What happens to the rest of the page

  • • Only the words you touch are rewritten. The rest of the line keeps its exact position and spacing.
  • • If the correct letter was never used anywhere in the file, MythosPDF loads the complete font so the letter matches.

Multi column text

Each column is edited on its own; a longer correction rewraps within its column.

Check before you send

Compare the corrected newsletter with the previous export to be sure only the intended text changed.

Questions people ask

+Will fixing one letter move the rest of the paragraph?

Only if the word gets wider or narrower. Then the words after it on that line shift by exactly the difference, and nothing else moves.

+Can I add an article?

Short additions fit with Shift+Enter; a full new article is better added in the design file.
