Change a website address in a Figma PDF

Update the web address printed on a brochure, flyer or letterhead, and the link behind it. This works on the PDF Figma exported, so you do not need the original file.

How Figma writes PDFs

  • • Exports embed subset fonts, often Google Fonts.
  • • Text layers are placed independently.

What that means when you change a website address

  • • Most Figma projects use open fonts, so new letters match exactly.

What happens to the rest of the page

  • • The printed text and the clickable link are separate. Update both.
  • • Addresses are set in the same font as before.

Questions people ask

+Does the printed address have to match the link?

It should. Readers of a printed copy only see the text.

+Is it better to edit in Figma?

If you have the original Figma file and a lot to change, yes. For quick changes to the PDF itself, editing the PDF is faster and keeps it exactly as sent.
