Change the total in a quotation PDF

Quotes change during a conversation. Update your own quotation PDF in place so it keeps your branding and layout, instead of retyping it. Update the subtotal, tax and total after changing line items on your own quote or order.

What people change in a quotation

  • • Quote number and date
  • • Line item descriptions
  • • Quantities and unit prices
  • • Subtotal, tax and total
  • • Validity period and terms

What happens to the rest of the page

  • • Totals are right aligned, so longer amounts grow to the left.
  • • Double check the arithmetic; the PDF will not do it.

Add and remove line items

Insert a row above or below any item, or delete an item's row. Borders and spacing follow the rest of the table.

Numbers are not recalculated

A PDF is a printed page, not a spreadsheet. Update the totals yourself after changing quantities or prices.

Questions people ask

+Does it check the maths?

No. A PDF is a printed page. Check the numbers before sending.

+Can I turn a quotation into an invoice?

You can change the title and number, but check local rules for what an invoice must contain.
