Microsoft Word resume: delete a bullet point from your resume
Remove an old or weak bullet and close the gap it leaves. This works on the PDF Microsoft Word exported. Word resumes edit cleanly: bold titles, italic dates and bullets are recognised. Calibri and Cambria have open clones with identical widths; Aptos gets the closest open font only with your permission.

How Microsoft Word writes resume PDFs
- • Save as PDF embeds only the letters used, as subset TrueType fonts.
- • Each run of formatting is written as its own piece of text.
- • Tables and rules are drawn as lines around positioned text.
What happens to the rest of your resume
- • The text is truly removed, not covered with a white box.
- • The lines below move up by the space it used.
