Microsoft Word resume: fix a typo on your resume

How to do it

  1. 1.Drop the resume PDF from Microsoft Word into MythosPDF.
  2. 2.Put the cursor on the wrong letter, delete it and type the right one.
  3. 3.Press Enter to save the line, then Export PDF.

How Microsoft Word writes resume PDFs

  • • Save as PDF embeds only the letters used, as subset TrueType fonts.
  • • Each run of formatting is written as its own piece of text.
  • • Tables and rules are drawn as lines around positioned text.

What happens to the rest of your resume

  • • Only the words you touch are rewritten; the rest of the line keeps its exact spacing.
  • • If the right letter was never used in the file, the complete font is loaded so it matches.

No. The corrected word is set in the resume's own font at the same position.
