Microsoft Word resume: tailor your resume to a job posting

Adjust your title, summary, skills and top bullets for each application, directly in the PDF. This works on the PDF Microsoft Word exported. Word resumes edit cleanly: bold titles, italic dates and bullets are recognised. Calibri and Cambria have open clones with identical widths; Aptos gets the closest open font only with your permission.

How Microsoft Word writes resume PDFs

  • • Save as PDF embeds only the letters used, as subset TrueType fonts.
  • • Each run of formatting is written as its own piece of text.
  • • Tables and rules are drawn as lines around positioned text.

What happens to the rest of your resume

  • • Each line is edited in place, so the design never breaks.
  • • Use Compare PDF afterwards to see every change you made.

Questions people ask

+Does MythosPDF rewrite my resume for me?

No. You edit the words yourself; the editor keeps the design intact.

+Is it better to edit in Microsoft Word?

If you still have the Microsoft Word version and a lot to change, yes. For a quick fix to the PDF you already sent, editing the PDF is faster.
