How Google Docs writes resume PDFs

  • • Download as PDF embeds Google Fonts as subsets.
  • • Lines often end with an invisible zero width space.
  • • Text is positioned word by word.

What happens to the rest of your resume

  • • The title keeps its bold or colour, so it still stands out.
  • • The date on the same line stays where it is.
