  3. 3.Select it and press ⌘K or Ctrl+K to update the link, then Export PDF.

How Xero writes PDFs

  • • Invoices and quotes are generated with embedded fonts.
  • • Tables hold line items.

What that means when you change a website address

  • • Line items edit in place and new rows copy the table's borders.

What happens to the rest of the page

  • • The printed text and the clickable link are separate. Update both.
  • • Addresses are set in the same font as before.

Questions people ask

+Does the printed address have to match the link?

It should. Readers of a printed copy only see the text.

+Is it better to edit in Xero?

If you have the original Xero file and a lot to change, yes. For quick changes to the PDF itself, editing the PDF is faster and keeps it exactly as sent.
